MailDroid is an ad-supported Webdav/POP3/IMAP Idle Push mail client written from the ground up and and not based on the stock Android mail client.

*FAQ*
1. Why is the message slow to open? You need to set preload options found in global preferences to the third option.

2. Why is Exchange not working? I support 2003,2007, and 2010. However, each one can be set up differently by your administrator. The usual issue is username which can be domain\username, username, or username@domain.com

3. I search, but see no results? You need to set up preloading in order to see search results.

4. How can I have different notifications for sound and LED color? You can set this under the rules section in global preferences.

5. Why can't I see my folders in Hotmail? Hotmail in MailDroid runs under POP3 (Microsoft charges a license for ActiveSync) and POP3 does not support folders from the server. IMAP does support this.

6. Can you change the icon? If you have a good idea, email me and we can talk about it.

7. Will there be a paid version? Yes, a version exists on the market.

Ok but plain Needed more color Never got to use it because ymail is hard to configure on all 3rd party mail apps

Meh Downloaded this immediately on bosss suggestion, so I never used the stock app. I can say that it didnt always seem to download all my mail; Id check online and see things that were not on my phone.

Good, but not perfect I like the app better than the stock program that came with my HTC Sensation. One little thing that would be really nice would be the ability to attach multiple items to an email at the same time. Its a pain if you have, say, 6 photos you want to send and then you have to do them all one at a time. Im not sure if this is a program issue or an android issue.

Attachment problems. Since up date not able open attachments say access denied each time.

Lots better, but not comparable to k9 Please add option to cache attachments too. Pain to download each time mail is accessed, esp those we want to keep in mail and not download.

Wont open email Another android product that doesnt work. The quality simply isnt there. Where is my iPhone?
